| Since I have had new members be curious on how the testing goes, I decided to make this thread (oh, before I go on, not just new members, but old members also wonder how I grade as well) to explain how I grade a testee during our Singles, 3 duels. Since the scores are usually out of 10, I will evaluate each deck by a 3.33. I get this by dividing the 10 by a 3 if you haven't noticed. If I take away 6 points initially, I will add another point taken off since it would be something like 6.66 and that rounded would be 7. This will be an exception in other areas though. This only applies for Speed portion and Deck Build portion. "Deck" - - Spoiler:
This is based off the number of cards you have in your deck. I am greatly opposed of how this is judged through the official rules here. Apparently for this I'm suppose to visually see the number of cards in your main deck. If it goes past 42 I take one point off. I have no clue where the thread on these are, I've been looking, but for some reason, can't seem to find it O.o I will be searching again after I post this. The reason why I'm against this is because when I was testing, I was playing against rescue rabbit deck with my 60 card Twilight deck. I actually won in 4-6 turns. This is no fluke, it's a deck I've been using in rated for a very long time and has treated me well and just recently I beat one of the best 5 players here with it in less than 5 turns, apparently I got lots of points taken away, even though I won. Score you ask? 62/70. If I cannot find the guide for this, I will ask an admin to help me find it or a regular member then if it's not found I will take points based on number of deck, but at the same time CONSISTENCY. If it is 45 and is very slow of course I'm going to take points away for number of deck. I find even other people's 40 card decks can be "slow". But for having 40 cards I'll originally give full points. If you still didn't understand what I mean, I mean that if you have a consistent 60 card deck like mine, that will look GOOD in other parts of the test results listed below. This portion has the lowest of points; 5.
"Speed of deck" - - Spoiler:
This is a portion of the test that judges how fast you can pull things out and get combos started. At the beginning of the match I will tell you to screenshot your opening hand (this part is new) and present it to me at the end of the duel and I will see if it was a bad hand, or if you didn't see something that you could have done. This portion has 10 points.
"Deck Build" - - Spoiler:
I will ask to see your deck at the end of the game (sometimes I will forget and ask after we exit game lol) and judge your deck. If there are random things in it like "techs" I will ask why you put them in. I support techs, if you don't have any techs at all and it looks like any other deck (for instance dino rabbit) I will deduct 1 point. I will also ask if it came off the internet or not and if it is netdecked, I will take a lot of points off (all unless you actually did changes to it, then I will increase your score, I hope by sharing this, you the testee will be completely honest with me). This portion has 10 points.
"Card Knowledge" - - Spoiler:
This is how well you know your rulings. If you don't know a very simple ruling then I will take 3 points off like difference of Continuous effects and Ignition effects. 2 points is if it's something like costs and non-cost effects. 1 point if it's something like Junk Warrior with other level 2s on field before/after he's on and his boost effect later. You will do better in Card Knowledge if you correct one of my rulings which gives a +5 (meaning you could miss any combination of the rulings stated above and still stay 10/10, however, it does not mean you will get a 15/10). Yes, I will take points off AGAIN if we run across the same ruling(s) if you forgot how we situated it. If not obvious.. This portion has 10 points.
"Flexibility" - - Spoiler:
This is how well you adapt to certain situations in front of you. From time to time, I will put up an interesting field while you have one as well and see what you do. Not only that, but I will judge upon your attitude towards the whole duels we've been playing and put them all into one. Attitude actually shows how well prepared, or not prepared a player is. This portion has 10 points.
"Deck Result" - - Spoiler:
This is based off how many wins you got off me. If you won one game I give you 5 points. This portion had 15 points.
I will ask for this to be stickied here, but for now, if you have any questions on how I grade then just ask ^^ Btw, there are banned decks, which I will remind the testee on.

| Test Exam > Sticky:Testing Standards (it is at the top of the page)
Here you can find how you should test according to the original method that has been used so far, however this is not the best way to test someone joining the academy and I also vary from this method most of the time when testing someone.
As a part of my primary job as an admin, I will update the rules for testing and getting tested. Until then, try not to deviate from the original method too much.

| *Facepalm* The one section I don't look in, the rules for "Deck" is there. LOL
Well for Speed and Deck Build why is it such a bad thing that I divide each deck by 3 to come up with a grand total of 10? .-. I also have a 3 2 1 system for Card Knowledge based on difficulty of rulings. Apparently they just tell you the max scores of each one and what each one is about, there's no part of it that tells you what to take away for the kinds of situations you will face.

| Well you should fill that in yourself, that is also why I want everyone to explain why they have given a certain amount of points.
We are humans. We do not work by a specific set of rules that you have to obey. On top of that, there are more cenario's that you can face in a test duel than you canpossibly imagine! You, as a Tester, need some flexibility to judge the person you are testing in your own way.
But I will see what I can do to make certain things more clear when I get to the testing section.
